So far, it's had about 2x it's purchase price worth of repair work performed on it- this brings it closer to 3x. 0_o Also, I'm a wondering if you've tried Fedora 8 on it- I've heard of similar brightness control things being one of Fedoras 'just works' things. :P You lucky bastard, new lappy and all that. :D
